AMRI CEO Donates Stock to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Albany, NY (December 22, 2005) -- Albany Molecular Research, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMRI) announced today that Thomas and Constance D'Ambra have made a personal gift of 85,000 shares of AMRI stock to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The donation is a second installment to honor a $3 million commitment made by the D'Ambras to endow a faculty chair in synthetic organic chemistry.
The gift, which was noted in a company filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on December 22, 2005, recognizes support and resources the company received in its early years from Rensselaer and its chemistry department. The D'Ambras made a similar donation to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in December 2004.
Thomas D'Ambra is chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Albany Molecular Research Inc. and serves as a member of the Presidential Advisors group at Rensselaer.
